The Indian Navy invites online applications from unmarried (male/female) candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in various disciplines of the Indian Navy for course commencing January 2024 onwards at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

Executive Branch :1. General Service [GS(X)]: 50 vacancies
2. Air Traffic Controller (ATC): 10 vacancies
3. Naval Air Operations Officer (NAOO): 20 vacancies
4. Pilot: 25 vacancies
5. Logistics: 30 vacancies
6. Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC): 15 vacancies
Education Branch :
1. Education: 12 vacancies in various subjects/disciplines
Technical Branch :
1. Engineering Branch [General Service (GS)]: 20 vacancies
2. Electrical Branch [General Service (GS)]: 60 vacancies
Pay Scale: The basic pay start from ₹56100 alongwith other allowances as applicable.
Navy SSC officers eligibility
Candidates who have graduated/ post graduated or in the final year with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
The university for the above mentioned should be incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities/Autonomous Universities under UGC Act 1956; IIT Act, 1961; AICTE Act, 1987; NITSER Act, 2007; IIIT Act, 2014.
Or• Candidates who have obtained a degree in Engineering with 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA/System from such foreign university/ college/ institution.
• The university/college/institution should be recognized by the Government of India for the purpose or Engineering Degree/equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities established under AIU, Act 1973, can apply.
Tenure of SSC Commission. Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission initially for 10 years extendable by maximum 04 years in 02 terms (02 years + 02 years), subject to service requirement, performance, medical eligibility and willingness of candidates.
Indian Navy SSC Officers Selection process
The selection process is as follows :a) Shortlisting of application will be based on normalized marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalised using formula mentioned in Indian Navy website https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/files/normalisation.pdf
(b) BE/B Tech. For candidates who have completed or in final year of BE/B Tech, marks obtained upto fifth semester will be considered for SSB shortlisting.
(c) Post-Graduate Degree Programme. For candidates who have completed MSc, MCA, MBA, M Tech, marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. For candidates who are in final year, shortlisting will be based on pre-final year performance.
(d) Candidates selected in the final merit list will be required to submit the proof of completing the qualifying degree with minimum 60% marks by sending an email at the address officer@navy.gov.in . Candidates failing to meet the criteria will not be permitted to join the Academy.
