Recruitment of experienced personnel in PGCIL 2025

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), invites online applications for the recruitment of PSU Jobs (Sarkari Naukri) as Engineer and Supervisor vide advertisement no. CC/03/2025

The candidates should have experience in Transmission/ Tele Communication Systems at work sites for engagement on fixed term contract basis for its ongoing as well as anticipated projects across different regions of POWERGRI. The engagement will be through POWERGRID Common FTE Written Test- 2025. The engagement shall be purely on a temporary & contractual basis for an initial period of 24 months or till completion of project, whichever is earlier. The contractual period may be further extended for 01 year each for 03 years, for a maximum period of 05 years cumulatively, based on work requirement.

POWERGRID” may provide opportunity to eligible Fixed Term Employees- FTEs (after completion of minimum 02 years tenure in POWERGRID subsequent to recruitment as FTE based on this recruitment) for selection to regular posts, through internal selection process among FTEs. Such opportunity shall only be provided to FTEs who are serving as on the date of such notification (for selection to regular posts), subject to requirement from time-to-time, based on their performance during engagement in POWERGRID and as per the policy of POWERGRID.

POWERGRID is one of the largest Transmission Utilities in the World and a “Maharatna” Enterprise of Govt. of India is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete Inter-State Transmission System. POWERGRID operates around 1,80,849 circuit kms of transmission lines along with 286 Sub-stations (as on 31st July 2025) and wheels about 50% of total power generated in the country through its transmission network. POWERGRID also owns and operates approximately 1,00,000 kms of Telecom Network, with points of presence in approx. 3000 locations and intra -city network in 500 cities across India.

PGCIL Engineer Recruitment 2025

The tentative break up of vacancies for PGCIL are as follows. The upper age limit for all the posts is 29 years.

1. Field Engineer (Electrical): 532 vacancies
2. Field Engineer (Civil): 198 vacancies
3. Field Supervisor (Electrical): 535 vacancies
4. Field Supervisor (Civil): 193 vacancies
5. Field Supervisor (Electronics & Communication): 85 vacancies

Selection Process for PGCIL Engineer Recruitment 2025

The selection process shall consist of Application Scrutiny, Written Test i.e. Technical Knowledge Test, Aptitude Test, etc.

 

Application Fee for PGCIL Engineer Recruitment 2025

The eligible candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹400/- for Field Engineer and ₹300/- for Field Supervisor through online mode only. SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM candidates are exempt from paying the application fee.
