UPSC Indian Economic Statistical Service Examination 2023

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi will hold the Indian Economic Service (IES) Recruitment Examination 2023 and Indian Statistical Service Examination 2023 for recruitment of Government Jobs (Sarkari Naukri) Vacancy posts under the Indian Economic Service (IES) of Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) of Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation commencing from 23rd June 2023.

Online application in the prescribed format are invited for the Indian Economic/Statistical Service Exam 2023 by UPSC from suitable candidates for Group-A Economic/Statistical Officer Government Jobs (Advertisement No.07/2023-IES/ISS). 

The examination will be held at various center's across the country in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Finance (Dept. of Economic Affairs) and the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. 

Indian Economic/Statistical Service Examination 2022 Vacancies:

• Officer: 18 vacancies thru Indian Economic Service Examination 2023, Age Limit: Candidates must not have attained the age of 21-30 years as of 1st August 2023. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Govt. of India rules, Qualification: a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/ Econometrics from a recognized University.  

• Statistical Officer: 31 vacancies through the Indian Statistical Service Examination 2023, Age Limit: Candidates must not have attained the age of 21-30 years as of 1st August 2023. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Govt. of India rules, Qualification: a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University. 

• Pay Scale:  ₹56100-177500/-

Online Application Fee

₹200/- to be paid in any branch of SBI by cash or by using the Net Banking facility of SBI or using Visa/ Master Credit / Debit Card. SC/ ST/ PH/ Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.
