Recruitment of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade –II / Technical Exam 2023 in Intelligence Bureau, MHA

Intelligence Bureau (IB) invites online applications for Government Jobs (Sarkari Naukri) post of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical i.e. JIO-II/Tech in the Intelligence Bureau, (Ministry of Home Affairs), Governemnt of India. The 797 post are under General Central Service, Group-‘C’ (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) category with permanent nature and to be filled through direct recruitment only.

The Intelligence Bureau is India's internal security and counter-intelligence agency under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. 

Intelligence Bureau (IB) JIO-II / Technical Recruitment 2023

The brief details of Posts, Salary, Age, Qualification are as under :

Junior Intelligence Officer (JIO) : 797 vacancies (UR-325, EWS-79, OBC-215, SC-119, ST-59), Pay Scale: Level-4 ₹25500-₹81100/- (Plus admissible Central Government allowances).

Age: 18-27 years,

Essential Qualification:

I. Diploma in Engineering in the fields of Electronics or Electronics & Tele-communication or Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Applications from a Government recognized University/Institute. Or

II. Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Electronics or Computer Science or Physics or Mathematics from a Government recognized University/Institute. Or

III. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications from a Government recognized University/Institute.

Scheme of Examination for IB JIO-II/Tech Recruitment 2023

Selection Process for IB Recruitment Exam 2023

a) The candidate has to appear in Tier-I Exam at one of the center's allotted to him/her out of his/her choice of five cities. There will be negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.

b) In order to achieve qualitative selection & recruit the best available talent, there would be cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-I exam as under: UR-35, OBC-34, SC/ST-33 & EWS-35 (all Ex-servicemen would be treated in their own category viz., UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS)

c) On the basis of candidates performance & normalization of marks in Tier-I exam, candidates would be shortlisted for Skill test and Personal Interview at 5 times the number of vacancies, subject to the candidate scoring the minimum cut-off.

d) On the basis of combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III exam, a final merit list of 797 candidates for the post of JIO-II/Tech will be prepared.

e) The final selection to the posts would be further subject to successful completion of Character & Antecedent verification followed by medical examination, etc.

Application Fee for IB JIO-II / Technical Recruitment 2023

An application fee of ₹500/ to be paid online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI/challan etc. by the candidates.

The eligible candidates are required to apply online on the MHA website (www.mha.gov.in) or NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in) from 03.06.2023 to 23.06.2023 for Intelligence Bureau Junior Intelligence Officer (JIO) Grade-II/Technical Exam 2022-23.
