The High Court of Delhi invites online application from eligible candidates for filling up 16 vacancies by way of direct recruitment in Delhi Higher Judicial Service by holding Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination 2023, as per The Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970 as amended Up To 06.04.2023.

The candidates applying for the examination shall ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination viz. Preliminary Examination (Objective type), Mains Examination (Written) and Viva-Voce.

Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination (DJS) 2023: 16 vacancies (UR-03, SC-07, ST-06), Pay Scale: Pay Level-13A of 7th CPC i.e. ₹131100-₹216600. Qualification: The qualification for direct recruitment are as follows:

(a) a Citizen of India, 

(b) must have been continuously practising as an Advocate for not less than seven years as on the last date of receipt of applications, i.e., 29.07.2023. 

(c) must have attained the age of 35 years and have not attained the age of 45 years on the 1st day of January of the year in which the applications for appointment are invited, i.e., on 01.01.2023.

Examination Process for Delhi Higher Judicial Service (DJS) Examination 2023

The examination process includes the following stages:

(i) Delhi Higher Judicial Service Preliminary Examination (Objective type with 25% negative marking) for selection of candidates for the Mains Examination (Written); 

(ii) Delhi Higher Judicial Service Mains Examination (Written) for selection of candidates for calling for Viva-Voce. 

(iii) Viva-Voce

Preliminary Examination:
The preliminary examination is an objective-type test that assesses candidates' knowledge in various areas of law. It consists of multiple-choice questions and is designed to shortlist candidates for the next stage of the examination.

Main Examination:

Application Fee for Delhi Higher Judicial Service (DJS) Examination 2023

An application fee of ₹2000/- each for General Category candidates (₹500/- for SC/ST/Pwd candidates) to be paid through online mode only.
