Recruitment for Officers and Office Assistants for Regional Rural Banks through IBPS

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) invite applications for the Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (CRP RRBs XII) for Group-A Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group –B Office-Assistants (Multipurpose) in the Participating Regional Rural Banks (RRB).


The exam will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in August and September 2023. The interviews for recruitment of Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III) under the same process will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority tentatively in the month of November 2023.

IBPS, an autonomous body, has been authorized and has received mandates to conduct Common Written Examination (CWE) for the posts of Officers and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) for 43 Regional Rural Banks (Garmin Banks).

1. Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): 73 vacancies, Age: 21-40 years, Experience: 05 years, Pay Scale: ₹63840-₹78230

2. Officer Scale-II (Manager): 516 vacancies, Age: 21-32 years, Experience: 01/02 years in the relevant field, Pay Scale: ₹48170-₹69810

• Officer Scale-II (Manager) (General Banking Officer): 332 vacancies
• Officer Scale II (Manager) (Specialist Officer) (Information Technology Officer): 68 vacancies
• Officer Scale-II (Manager) (Specialist Officer) (Chartered Accountant): 21 vacancies

4. Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 5538 vacancies, Age: 18-28 years, Pay Scale: ₹17900-₹47920/-

IBPS CRP RRB Selection Process

The eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Regional Rural Banks as Group “A”-Officers (Scale- I, II & III) and Group “B”-Office Assistant (Multipurpose), is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP for RRBs- XII).

For the posts of Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multi-purpose) the examination will be two tier i.e. the Online Examination will be held in two phases, Preliminary and Main.

For the post of Office Assistant (Multi-purpose), candidates who will qualify in Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main Examination. They will be provisionally allotted on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the Main Examination and the actual vacancies reported by the RRBs.

For the post of Officers Scale I, candidates who will qualify in Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Main Examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority.

For the post of Officers Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Scale III, candidates will appear for Single Online Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Single Online Examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority.

Application Fee for IBPS RRB Recruitment

An application fee of ₹850/- (₹175/- for SC/ST/PWBD) to be deposited by the candidates using Debit Cards , Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

How to Apply for IBPS RRB 12 CRP 2023?

The eligible candidates are required to apply online at the IBPS recruitment website from 01.06.2023 to 21.06.2023 only for IBPS CRP RRB Officer and Office Assistant Recruitment 2023.

A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer. However a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale-III.

Candidates have to apply separately and pay fees / intimation charges separately for each post.
